Large Banana & Poppy Seed Loaf Cake, Baked in the Farmhouse Aga

Large Banana & Poppy Seed loaf cake, baked in the farmhouse aga. Serves 10-12 and can be gift boxed and posted.
 
Lovely moist banana cake with the added healthy crunch of poppy seeds!

This is made in the farmhouse kitchen, using fresh ingredients and eggs from our own rescue ducks and chickens who are free to roam and have a very happy life! The cake will be baked in a liner, which will give some protection when in the post. Banana cake has a reasonable shelf life and should stay fresh for around one week after you receive it ( if it doesn't get eaten all in one go! )

The cake measures 21cm ( 8 1/4 inches) by 11 cm ( 4 1/4 inches) and gives 10 very generous slices, to 12 not quite so generous slices. It weighs around 800 grams.

I can ship the cake in a gift box finished with gold ribbon, and with a gift tag which I can hand write if required - this is optional and costs £1.75 extra. There will be air pockets inside the gift box to protect the cake.

The ingredients are as follows:-
Flour, butter, sugar, bananas, eggs, milk, poppy seeds and baking powder
Although there are no nuts in this particular cake, it is made in a kitchen which handles nuts.
